Goods: Men’s and women’s vintage apparel. Designers: Bob Mackie, Gucci, Ungaro , Armani, Escada, Chanel, Missoni and Valentino. Owners: Sisters Ashley Zisook and Allison Zisook Goldstein opened their own store after years of sharing a love for vintage that developed early on in their grandmother’s closet. Ashley has attended FIDM and headed several previous vintage stints in Los Angeles, while Allison has the local scene on lock, having spent many years as a Chicago Public School teacher. Vibe: Located within an office building, the store is kind of hidden away from the public, which owner Ashley thinks makes for a nicer shopping environment. Price Range: Inexpensive-Expensive. The Look: Pure class. Named after Hollywood icon Sophia Loren, the store reflects the sisters’ eagerness to bring back the grace and elegance of the fifties and the sixties. Shopper’s Perks: Ashley also acts as a personal stylist and shopper free of charge to all Sofia’s patrons.
