Kelly Densberger and Corie Willet were hanging out on State Street before seeing a Fiona Apple concert.
What style are you girls going for tonight?
Kelly: I’m never really going for a look in specific, I just dress the way I feel. I love colors and shapes and I put a lot of passion into my clothing. I buy a lot of separates and somehow find a way to fit them together to create an outfit I adore. I love to watch other people, I promise, it’s the best! I don’t take the whole outfit, just maybe the way they wore socks and boots together or the way they painted their nails.
Corie: I would say I’m going for a more electric retro look, I always have dug the pin-up-girl style but I usually pair it with brighter colors so it feels fresh.
Do you guys always change your hair color? What’s the craziest thing you’ve done to your hair?
Kelly: My hair is definitely the craziest now than it’s ever been. I shaved the side of my head a little over a year ago and ombre’d the tips to a turquoise, greenish color in the last couple of months. With the side of my head being shaved I have had a lot of fun going to the barber and getting crazy designs from steps all the way to hearts and arrows, but unfortunately I’m starting the long and hard process of growing it out. Corie is actually dying my hair a brighter turquoise on Friday so I’m super excited! In all honesty, I am really feeling the color-dipped hair and with my best friend being a hair goddess, the options really are endless from here on out.
Corie: I tend to always change my hair color. I’m a hairdresser so it’s inevitable. When I was thirteen I colored my hair neon yellow and from there it was no holds barred. I’d say the most eccentric color I had was when I had my hair cut into a French Kiss (a version of a modern mullet) and then had a color gradient starting with blonde bangs, then yellow, orange, red, then purple on the very bottom. It looked like a fireball!
