The Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macy’s on State Street
The Department of Cultural Affairs is accepting applications from Chicago-area emerging fashion designers to participate in The Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macy’s on State Street. The incubator will provide six emerging designers, who have completed at least one collection, the opportunity to learn the business of fashion, marketing and merchandising of fashion from experts in the business, including Macy’s merchant team and other industry and business leaders in Chicago. The selected designers will be offered sample production, show room, and office space at Macy’s on State Street store for one year beginning March 2009. In addition, the incubator will provide space for workshops and seminars for the local fashion community at large. Applications available on
