Mo’ Rockin Fashion Fest
The Mo’ Rockin Fashion Fest  is a private gated outdoor show featuring a live music stage and runway fashion shows, an outdoor shopping experience with 20 exclusive booths featuring local Division Street designers, salons and boutiques, entertainment and a variety of food options and ice cold beer. Join M. Go Fashion Salon featuring Moroccanoil all day long for ‘Shopper’s Row,’ where local boutiques will host an outdoor shopping market.  Aleah Patterson of WCIU’s “Fashion Express” will kick off the afternoon festivities with a 1 pm fashion show.  Then at night, revelers will enjoy a Hollywood red-carpet photo shoot extravaganza sponsored by ROKK Vodka and Chicago Paparazzi Steve Starr.  Under the stars is “Wicker Park after Dark,” another star-studded fashion show hosted by Nelly Carreno, reporter from “Acceso Total Chicago,” and Natalie Martinez, reporter from NBC 5.  An exclusive VIP launch party will cap off this event. Randolph Street Market
The European style indoor-outdoor market that features more than 200 vendors as well as live musical entertainment, food and on-site activities. The Festival also encompasses several smaller markets including the Indie Designer Market, Fancy Food Market and Vinyl Swap Meet. The August market is Back to School themed and specific vendors will be offering goods from fashion to food to home decor to get you back in gear for academia. There is free trolley transportation every 30 minutes, leaving from Water Tower Place and going straight to the market. General admission $12 both days/$9 online/$5 students with ID/kids under 12 are free. The two entrances are located at 1350 block of W. Randolph and 1340 W. Washington between Ada and Odgen. FashioNext Design Competition
FashioNext is an ongoing fashion design competition featuring established Chicago designers asked to create a garment inspired by select pieces from the Costume Collection of the Chicago History Museum. In its second year, Chicago designers must create a wedding gown inspired by pieces from the Museum’s collection. This challenge is presented in conjunction with the current exhibition I Do!
